Paul started rotational grazing in 1993 with 35 cows. In 2011, an old stall barn was replaced with a free stall and numbers increased to 110 head. Paul grazes 120 acres, 30 of which have a K-Line irrigation system. Paul utilizes no-till methods to improve and establish pasture, and plants annual forages on land that hasn't been moldboard plowed since the mid 1980s. About half of the milking herd are Registered Holsteins and half are crossbreeds. Paul produces 16,000 to 18,000 pounds of milk per cow.
